# Logsteps > Walk a room with your phone and get a 3D model you can replay, measure, pin notes on, share with a link and edit on your computer. Logsteps turns a slow walk around a room with your phone into a 3D model: step back into it, replay your walk, measure it, pin notes on it, share it with a link and edit it on a computer. Capture with a guided camera walk, upload a video or import a PLY or GLB file. The 3D reconstruction runs on a scan station with an NVIDIA GPU using the open-source lingbot-map model. Public rooms can be explored without an account. Who it's for: Home owners, renters, designers and anyone who wants to share a room in 3D ## What it does - Guided camera walk that skips blurry frames and warns when it is too dark - Upload a video or import a PLY or GLB 3D file - Orbit, Walk and Plan views, replay, measure and pins - Share a room with a private link - Explore public rooms by room type ## Questions ### What do I need to scan a room? A phone with a camera. Walk slowly around the room; the app takes about three sharp frames a second and warns you to slow down or add light. ### How is the 3D model made? On a scan station: a computer with an NVIDIA GPU running lingbot-map (Apache-2.0). The app shows the queue and live progress. ### Can people view my room without an account? Yes, through a share link. Shared rooms open in the browser with Orbit, Walk and Plan views. ## Links - [Open Logsteps](https://logsteps.com/) - [About Logsteps](https://logsteps.com/about) - Made by [Arkvital](https://arkvital.com), Montreal, Canada (arkvital@outlook.com) Keywords: 3D room scan, phone 3D scanner, room scanning app, 3D model of a room, measure a room from video, share 3D room, photogrammetry, point cloud viewer, PLY GLB viewer
